I am a registered Psychometrist (Independent Practice) based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg offering remedial assessments, career counselling, subject choice assessments as well as assessments of selection and development in the corporate sector.

I began my tertiary education at the University of Johannesburg where I completed both a degree and honours degree in Psychology, achieving both with cum laude. Thereafter, I went on to qualify and register as a Psychometrist (Independent Practice). Over the past 10 years of practice, I have focused my energies on remedial assessments, career counselling, general IQ assessments, assessments for selection & development within corporate organizations & assistance in medico-legal matters. I have a passion for assisting in self-development through assessment and enjoy being able to assist individuals in understanding themselves better and making informed decisions as a result.

The process of career counselling is designed to assist individuals in making the right decision in terms of choosing between a variety of programmes offered at higher education institutions and career options. A Squared Consulting places high value in assisting students/individuals in choosing realistic programmes and career choices.
We offer career counselling to grade 11 and 12 learners, as well as interested career transition persons up to the age of 40 years.
This service consists of a psychometric assessment of aptitude, personality, interests and skills, an individual feedback session, as well as a written report of the results and recommendations. Recommendations are made based on the client's unique profile and could therefore include programmes at a variety of higher education institutions.

Psycho-Educational / School Readiness Assessments

Psycho-Educational Assessments may be initiated due to school and/or parental concerns about a child’s cognitive functioning, learning, attention, and/or behaviour at school. Psycho-educational assessments evaluate a child’s thinking/reasoning abilities and underlying psychological processes (e.g., memory, attention, processing, executive functioning), academic achievement (e.g., reading, writing, math, oral language), behaviour and social-emotional functioning in the context of their stage of development and in comparison to other children their age.
These assessments are done in conjunction with a Clinical or Educational Psychologist if required.
